The FCOS agency
The FCOS agency must be differentiated from FCOS. The agency implements the mandates and resolutions of FCOS and supports the Commission in the fulfilment of its tasks.
The agency is involved in the development of FCOS’s decision-making principles. It prepares operations and submits them to FCOS for a decision. Depending on the subject area, this work is carried out within the agency, with the involvement of those affected in the committees or with external support. The aim is to achieve consensus, or at least widespread support, within the member organisations. The employees of the agency are not members of FCOS.
The tasks and responsibilities of the agency are set out in the rules of procedure.
