What is FCOS?

FCOS is an extra-parliamentary federal Commission for the coordination and control of occupational health and safety.

Objective

The objective is prevention and reduction of workplace accidents and occupational diseases in Switzerland.

Legal basis

The tasks and responsibilities of FCOS are defined in the Federal Act on Accident Insurance (AIA) and the Ordinance on the Prevention of Accidents and Occupational Diseases (APO).
