Welcome to the website of FCOS

The FCOS

FCOS aims to reduce occupational accidents and illnesses throughout Switzerland. The Commission, which is appointed by the Federal Council, is the central coordinating body for occupational health and safety in the workplace. Where appropriate, it delegates tasks to implementation bodies and supports them in their implementation activities. The FCOS has an agency to provide operational support.

The FCOS office

The FCOS agency supports the Commission in preparing its decisions and ensures that they are implemented. It is the information centre and operational hub of FCOS. Its remit includes handing specialist issues. It also deals with the financial processing of the Commission’s decisions.
The agency is headed by the Managing Director.
